A fine tale with an intriguing ending. Everyone knows of an old spinster like Miss Crew. As part of the family since its inception, she out lives the lot of them with a fortune in tact whilst they drop down dead from overwork, and in a state of pennylessness! Edward is well painted,
He is versatile. A survivor until the allowance increase and the common cold takes their toll. The story has a good beat to it. I was gripped and had no inkling as to the conclusion. What a neat surprise!
